1st line: djorrkkun (without the na-) means ‘rock possum’, (ng)anbale is something like ‘where could they be’. ‘Rock possum, rock possum, where could it be (and therefore where are the younger brother and the older brother’s wife] be’
2nd line: enough, I just went in and we listened to each other
A free translation – which represents this as the thoughts of the older brother as he wonders about what his wife and his younger brother are up to in the cave as they purportedly look for the rock possum, is:
‘Rock possum, rock possum, where could it be (and therefore where are the younger brother and the older brother’s wife];
I’ve had enough, let’s think about what we’re going to do now.’
