There are several species of mudskipper in Kakadu, the number increases as you head downstream in the estuary. One is the New Guinea Mudskipper Periophthalmus novaeguineaensis. Its not on the list of Kakadu freshwater fish, but there is one which comes a bit further upstream, the freshwater mudskipper Periophthalmus weberi (the definition of freshwater / saltwater fish is a grey area in the tropics).
