A culinary herb to flavour kangaroo meat. Leaves are placed in stomach prior to cooking.
Small woody shrub to 3 m high and dark grey bark. Leaves, narrow, linear, blades 35-120 mm long x 1-5 mm wide and a single main longitudinal vein Flowers cream to pale yellow, in loose cylindrical spikes to 40 mm long and 4 mm wide. Fruit smooth, narrow, hard woody pods 50-90 mm long x 3-6 mm wide, tapering to base, prominently ridged, brown when ripe. Found in sandstone country in mixed woodland on the plateau.
