Seeds are called an-ngaldjekmino in Kundedjnjenghmi.

Large spreading tree to 20 m high hard, dark grey or black, fissured bark. Leaves curved, lanceolate to elliptic, blades variable but usually to 220 mm long and 35 mm wide with 3 main longitudinal veins. Flowers small, many in dense yellow cylindrical spikes 55-70 mm long, mostly in pairs. Fruit curled, twisted leathery pods, usually about 70 mm long and 15 mm wide. Found in lowland and sandstone country.
