Platyzoma microphyllum, the sole species in genus Platyzoma, is a fern native to northern Australia. It occurs in the Kimberleyregion of Western Australia; in the Northern Territory and Queensland, and in northern New South Wales, where it is consideredendangered (Wikipedia). The fern grows on sand sheets and often next to permanent freshwater streams. It can regenerate after fire. The Kuninjku name manborlidj-manborlidj means 'tribal scar-tribal scar' (manborlidj means 'cicatrice').
