The male only is called barrk (most dialects) or nadjinem (Kuninjku). The female is called djukerre (or spelt djugerre in Gundjeihmi orthography). See the separate entry for the female black wallaroo.

An-bongka barrk ka-ngun mimno bu ka-bamobarrbarrhme.
The black wallaroo eats the seeds of Acacia latescens when the seed pods crack open.
Nuye djabulhdjabulh barrk djukerre kamimburdme dja ka-ngun.
That Solanum echinatum (wild tomato), is the food of the black wallaroo, which it eats with its eyes closed [because of the spikes].
Nungan ka-karrme barrk morrdjdjanjno. Korroko bu barri-morrodjdjanjkadjung dabbarrabbolk.
The male black wallaroo has special morrdjdjanjno hunting songs. A long time ago, the old people used to sing those songs.
