.Slender deciduous perennial vine with twining stems to 10 metres high. Leaves pinnate, whole leaf 40-105 mm long, divided into 12-19 pairs of oblong or oblong ovate leaflets 7-24 mm long x 3-8 mm wide. Flowers mauve to purple pea-flowers, 1-1.2 cm long, in clusters on pendulous racemes. Fruit: smooth, flat pods 30-65 mm long x 12-14 mm wide, pale brown when ripe. Found in lowland and sandstone country.
